A 51-year story
The longest established dental practice in Halton.
Halton Road Dental Practice was founded in 1975 and has been looking after Runcorn families for half a century. We treat NHS and private patients of every age — under the principle that calm, well-paced, technically rigorous dentistry beats anything flashier.
The practice was opened on Halton Road in 1975 — a single-chair NHS surgery, in the same building we're in today. Dr Jonathan Westall took the practice forward through the 1990s and 2000s, and today we're a 24-strong team across dentistry, hygiene, therapy and care support.
We've grown carefully. A second NHS chair, then private dentistry alongside, then hygiene, then implants — the practice has expanded only when we could keep the same quality of care patients expect. Many of our families have come here for two or three generations.
We're registered with the Care Quality Commission and work alongside NHS Cheshire & Merseyside on the local NHS dental contract. Our private services run on a transparent published fee guide — what you're quoted is what you pay.
